Interview with Unified Color

By Will Austin

Will Austin’s award-winning photography has taken him around the world. Although he regularly does editorial work, Will specializes in documenting cutting-edge architecture and industrial workplaces. He lives in the Seattle area with his wife and son, but hails from Colorado cowboy country.

I did an interview with the HDR software company Unified Color and it was published today.  I provided some example photos and talked about HDR techniques.  HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and this technology opened up a whole new world of possibilities in digital photography.  Specialized software, such as Unified Color’s HDR Expose, uses several bracketed photos and then combines their tonal range to create a new photo with more shadow and highlight detail.  Direct link here via the Unified Color blog.
