After the kid got out of school we had a big father’s day bash and headed out on road trip to… Moscow!  Idaho that is.  We went to visit an old friend who is a prof at the University of Idaho and had a blast.  We ate amazing food, hiked, watched an impressive thunderstorm, shopped for vintage clothes at the Moscow Storm Cellar, and slept a lot.

Thinking back, we have had some of our most relaxing vacations while visiting small towns.  New York and Paris are great but I feel more rested after visiting Alma, Ellicott and Moscow.  Maybe I’ll start a movement – small town visits as opposed to big city vacations.

We always love going to the Palouse and we found ourselves stopping to take photos at every turn.
