Last weekend a “family issue” took me away to New Mexico. It was a difficult trip but I was able to break away for about 2 hours to take some photos. Because of the nature of this trip, some of these photos are very personal and significant to me.

This shot was total happenstance- I stopped to aid an injured snake on the road (unfortunately he was a gonner) and saw this amazing scene from the highway overpass. Check out the watchful raven on the power pole (click photo for a larger version).
