As I said in my previous post, I had a great time visiting San Luis and photographing the sculpture of internationally known artist Huberto Maestas as well as La Capilla de Todos los Santos (The Chapel of All Saints) which sits on top of the mesa above the town. Here are some of my favorite photos from that afternoon:
An old Ford on a lonesome highway-
Halo in the sky-
The town from the mesa-
One of the sculptures-
The Chapel-
Chapel interiors-
An old wooden cross, looking west.
I don’t live too far from this place and have been wanting to go there since I saw a photo book of Spanish/Mexican tombstones which was something to behold. I was told there is a lot to see here. I love your photos of the mission church and the cross at the end is very dynamic.
Thanks Shaun! You must go there, maybe you’ll experience a little miracle….
