I have never seen a place like Truchas.  Driving down out of the mountains one sees this town laid out on a high ridge just below the high mountain peaks in the near distance.  I didn’t have time to stop and explore the many interesting buildings and artist studios but it seemed like a town lost in time.  I did stop at the Los Llanitos cemetery on the edge of the road just out of town, what a beautiful spot between the mountains and the sweeping panorama of the valley below.
